Cork eco firm Climeaction to tap ‘enormous’ US market for growth in 2026

Founded in 2021, Climeaction has scaled rapidly from a small Cork operation into a sustainability partner for global manufacturing leaders. The company now employs 30 people, has raised €2.8 million in funding, and operates across Ireland and the US, with an office in Boston.

Led by chief executive Paul Murphy, Climeaction supports manufacturers to cut carbon emissions and operational costs through engineering-led decarbonisation strategies, low- and no-cost efficiency projects, and the delivery of capital investments. Following its expansion into the US in 2024, the firm has invested more than €1 million in building its American operations and expects the market to account for approximately 40 per cent of global turnover in 2026.

Climeaction entered the US market in 2024 and has since invested more than €1 million in building its American operations. The company now operates from Boston and is expanding alongside existing multinational clients with sites across the US.

Murphy describes the US as an “enormous” opportunity, with Climeaction expecting the market to account for around 40 per cent of global turnover in 2026. The company plans to hire five additional staff in the US during the first quarter of next year to support continued growth.
