Our story
Climeaction is founded by Paul Murphy, who brings extensive global experience from his tenure at a leading energy management company.
2021
Following the acquisition of his previous employer by a fossil fuel company, Paul Murphy launches Climeaction with a clear ambition, to help businesses take practical action through specialist energy audits.

2022
Our team grows to 7 consultants as we expand into carbon footprinting and energy audits for businesses of all sizes. We finish the year by winning the SFA Outstanding Small Business Award.

2023
Climeaction grows to 16 team members and expands into ESG and B Corp consultancy. We become a Certified B Corporation, support 275 new companies and secure significant investment to accelerate our next phase of growth.

2024
We scale rapidly, growing to around 40 people and launching Climeaction in the US with our first office in Boston. We expand our multinational client base, develop our first digital solutions and identify more than 203,000 tonnes of potential carbon reductions for our clients.

Climeaction evolves from advisory into a broader delivery partner, supporting businesses from strategy through to implementation and embedded energy management. Our digital capabilities also expand, bringing tools such as ESGo and VSAg into our growing offering across Ireland and the US.
